Materials & Safety
What’s actually in your pet’s furniture
Pets chew, drool on, and sleep pressed against everything we sell — so the material spec isn’t a footnote for us, it’s the first thing we check before a product is allowed on the site.
Our sourcing standard
Every Paw’s NestWood piece lists its own materials and relevant certifications on its product page under “Materials & care.” If a certification or material claim below doesn’t appear on a specific product’s page, treat that product page as the source of truth.
OEKO-TEX® certified textiles
Fabric covers marked OEKO-TEX® on their product page are tested against the OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 — screened for harmful substances and rated safe for prolonged, close contact.
CertiPUR-US® foam
Cushion and support cores marked CertiPUR-US® are made without ozone depleters, PBDE flame retardants, mercury, lead or other heavy metals, and are low in VOC emissions.
Solid wood frames
Where a product has a solid-wood frame, the exact wood is listed on that product's page under “Materials & care.” We don't apply a single wood claim across the whole range.
Care that keeps materials safe
Even the best materials need the right care. Most Paw’s NestWood covers are machine-washable on a cold, gentle cycle — check the individual product page for wash instructions specific to that item, as weighted bolsters and solid-foam pieces are usually spot-clean only. Avoid bleach and high-heat tumble drying, both of which break down certified foams and fabric coatings faster than normal wear would.
Questions about a specific product
Each product page lists its specific materials and care instructions under “Materials & care.” If you have a sensitivity or allergy concern that isn’t answered there, email us at hello@pawsnestwood.com before you order and we’ll confirm the exact spec sheet for that item.
